The Neville Brothers at Austin Music Hall

Rozone Productions is happy to announce that New Orleans’ first family of funk, the Neville Brothers, will bring their world-class live show to the Austin Music Hall on Friday, July 31st. The four brothers – singer Aaron, keyboardist Art, saxophonist Charles and percussionist Cyril – have played together for four decades and regularly bring their mix of New Orleans sounds to festivals around the world. Their typically intoxicating and spicy stew includes soul, jazz, R&B, pop, funk, rock, reggae, rap, doo-wop, Cajun, Afrobeat, Indian, Creole, Caribbean and almost anything else that suits their mood.
Providing support at this Austin Music Hall performance will be Dr. John and the Lower 9-11 Band. Dr. John is a celebrated New Orleans musician in his own right, with a very rich pedigree. In his early career he was a session musician on records by Sonny and Cher, Van Morrison and Aretha Franklin, just to name a few. His unique blend of funk, rhythm & blues, psychedelic swamp jams and voodoo mysticism always makes for an entertaining set.
Tickets for this show are on sale now through austinmusichall.com and gettix.net. Do512 will be giving away three pairs of tickets for this one, and to qualify all you have to do is click “I Like It!” on the event listing.
