Schlitterbahn isn’t the only reason to head to New Braunfels

Sonic Itch Music’s recent post on Ghostland Observatory’s July 19th alerted us at Do512 to what looks to be the beginnings of a super cool new venue in the area. Whitewater on the Horseshoe opened its doors almost a year ago and looks to be doing a fine job of keeping its calendar chock full of major acts such as Ghostland and Blue October. Tucked away in the trees alongside the Guadalupe River, this 3,800 capacity venue sounds like the perfect way to cap off a day of tubing down the river. Maybe we are the last to know about this hidden treasure, but if not, the upcoming appearances from Blue October and Ghostland are sure to put this venue on the radar.

Yes, went to shows at WhiteWater last year, without a doubt the best outdoor venue in Texas. The river actually runs just 10 feet behind the stage, and on a busy weekend thousands float by as the concert starts.
