Grammy-Award winning comedian, George Carlin, has died

George Carlin, the Grammy-Award winning comedian well known for his often impudent commentary on American society’s trials and tribulations (i.e. he mocked the shit out of us and it was hilarious), died at 71 Sunday. The cause of death has been identified as heart failure; Carlin was taken to the hospital Sunday afternoon and died shortly after. Carlin is known for an exhausting list of hilarious performances on shows such as The Ed Sullivan Show and The Tonight Show and in his own performances including A Place for My Stuff and Carlin at Carnegie. He was even awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 15th Annual American Comedy Awards.
