Ximena Sariana is a talent. Pop, jazz and smart. I saw her live in Los Angeles on Sept., small venue, totally impressed, the over capacity crowd sang every song with her, every word…her album, Mediocre, in my top 10 albums of 2008, is nominated for a Grammy in Feb. Oh, she’s also dating Omar from Mars Volta, silly fact I know, but people are silly…

Cox, Size and Tiesto? It’s not that they aren’t good, but SXSW is supposed be about showcasing *new* talent. I hope it is indeed a rumor. Me wants fresh blood.

I’m not surprised to see Katy Perry on the rumor list. There’s always one or two pop-radio hitters making an appearance. Paramore last year?
So far, I’m only excited about Miles Benjamin Anthony Robinson, Gabriella Cilmi, and St. Vincent. But this is a festival of exploration, so I need to do some homework.
