Old Settler’s 22nd Annual Music Festival Kicks Off This Thursday

Any festival that has been going strong for 22 straight years has to be doing something right. The Old Settler’s Music Festival, held at Salt Lick Pavilion and Camp Ben McCulloch, spans 4 stages and is not the run of the mill festival you are probably used to. Not only does it benefit two great charities, it includes performance workshops, arts and crafts, lots of activities for kids (including a youth talent competition), and a music store where you can pick up albums from all the performing artists. If you plan to attend, camping is a must. Well, not really a must, but if you want to make the most of your weekend, its definitely recommended. Music also goes til midnight every night so you can keep the party going a little later than most festivals. Highlights this year include Robert Earl Keen, The Gourds, The Greencards, Marc Broussard, and of course tons of others.

This year Do512 has 2 pairs of 4 day passes for giveaway, both come complete with free camping. That is over a $150 value per ticket! Hurry and get your votes in because the contest ends soon. Tickets can also be purchased here.
