Will Evans Project w/Kalu James and Love at War @ The Belmont

This Saturday night, June 20, The Belmont will host an impressive lineup of bands featuring the Will Evans Project.  Portions of the proceeds will be benefiting Grounded in Music, a group helping kids become more ingratiated in music at an early age.  Kalu James, one of Austin’s rising folk rock artists, will kick off the night at 7:30 and will play until 8:15.  An intelligent musician (and fluent in 3 languages), Kalu will look to impress the earlier crowd with his intimate lyrics.  Shortly after Kalu, Love at War will go on stage at 8:30.  The pop rock band performs songs dealing with relationships and love in the face of a fragmented society.  From producer Dwight Baker (Kelly Clarkson, Bob Schneider, Alpha Rev), Love at War is on the right track toward becoming one of the biggest pop acts in the area.  At 9:30 the headliner of the night, the Will Evans Project, will take over.  Fusing blues, rock, soul, and improvisation, WEP is renowned for its live shows.  The band won the “Best Live Album of the Year”by the Independent Music Awards for its 2007 self-titled debut album.  The Will Evans Project evidences its musical chemistry in every live show, so be sure to not miss this band at The Belmont.  And once again, here at Do512, we have a special offer: a chance to win a pair of VIP tickets! (free entry, VIP access, Free Drink Tix)  Show us you like the event and you could be flying high this Saturday night.
