Charlie Lucas Band w/ Bus to Brooklyn, Snippy Lovin’ and Ben Baxter @ Aces Thursday night

This Thursday night at Aces Lounge on 6th Street, the Texas country rock band, the Charlie Lucas Band, will make boots tap and heads nod.  Out of Magnolia, Texas, the southern rockers have garnered considerable credibility for their live performances across the state.  And what better place than Aces for the Charlie Lucas Band to rock the stage?  With an ornate and fully loaded bar conveniently located in front of the stage, a relaxed ambiance, and a sumptuous upstairs VIP area, Aces is truly one of the hottest spots on East 6th.  Check out the venue’s photo gallery for concrete evidence of Aces glowing interior.  And while the Charlie Lucas Band is the highlighted band of the night, Bus to Brooklyn, Snippy Lovin’, and Ben Baxter will also perform. Bus to Brooklyn boasts an upbeat, Americana sound while Snippy Lovin’ brings a more funky, blues-based genre to the table (or the bar, more like).  Bring tha funk, Snippy!  Acoustic/soul performer, Ben Baxter, will also perform in support of the Charlie Lucas Band this Thursday night.  Ben keeps it chill in a Jack Johnson-esque manner.  Hopefully Ben won’t forget his lyrics on stage like Jack did on the main stage at Bonnaroo in 2008 (ouch!).  Signed to Indie label, Jinkinswave Productions, Ben Baxter should be a great addition to the night’s already stellar lineup of musicians.  Oh, and we almost forgot about the Aces frequenters, the Southern Sirens.  The sexy, sultry Southern Sirens performs at Aces on Friday and Saturday nights, so if the rock sesh on Thursday night leaves you ready for some live dancing and female vocals, come check ’em out at 11pm and 1am both nights.  With THREE pairs of free tickets in our hands for Thursday night, you have a pretty good chance of winning a pair- just give Aces’ event a thumb’s up!
