Houston Summer Fest – Free w/RSVP

Free Press Houston invites you to Eleanor Tinsley Park on August 8th and 9th for the Free Press Summer Fest. This music and arts festival will feature more than 40 national and local musical performers, including headliners Broken Social Scene, Of Montreal, The Sword, Devin The Dude, What Made Milwaukee Famous, the Octopus Project, Prince Paul, and the Riverboat Gamblers.

Along with two stages full of great music, there will also be dozens of local artist booths, a craft beer garden, games, and several ‘cooling elements’ such as a misting tent to help attendees stay cool in the hot sun. Free water will be available on site.

Entry cost for the event is only 10 dollars per day, and a portion of proceeds will go to Project Row Houses, a nonprofit organization creating a positive presence in Houston’s Third Ward community. Special: From Noon, Monday July 27th to Noon, Thursday, July 30th, users can RSVP on Do512 for FREE entry!

The wording on the RSVP page is very confusing. Is everyone who RSVP’d get in free? Or those who RSVP are entered to win one of 25 pairs of free tickets? Also, is it for the whole weekend or just one day? Please clarify.

  2. do512 replied:

People who RSVP get in free, yes. Up through Thursday. Then if you RSVP you are ONLY REGISTERED to win free tickets. But, if you RSVP now, you are still also automatically registered for the chance to win another pair of free tickets.
Yes, its for the whole weekend.
Hope that helps, we have a lot going on there, sorry for the confusion.
