On Friday, September 25th the Hogg Memorial Auditorium will host the entrancing live performance of the Nortec Collective Featuring Bostich (Ramon Amezcua) and Fussible (Pepe Mogt.) Over the years, The Nortec Collective has appeared in a variety of formats, often appearing alone or together with other DJs. For their appearance in Austin, Bostich and Fussible will be joined onstage by a group of live musicians and a dazzling video presentation, adding yet another layer to the Nortec experience.

A recent album by Bostich and Fussible tilted “Tijuana Sound Machine” was nominated for a Grammy in the “Best Latin Rock/Alternative Album” category, and their live shows provide an unforgettable audio-visual experience. The Nortec Collective emerged from the Tijuana electronic scene with a new style of music that fuses of Norteño and Techno, characterized by hard dance beats and samples from traditional forms of Mexican music. They’ve done remixes for Beck, Calexico, and Lenny Kravitz among others.
