Save Our Springs and Sierra Club Benefit

If you lived in Austin this past sweltering summer or have ever experienced the oppressive heat that tends to seep into our city around June/July-ish and that fails to leave until October, then you know how important Austin’s natural springs are. I’m sure many of you can credit Barton Springs and other freshwater pools for your enjoyment survival of the summer, and Austin’s Save Our Springs Alliance– a group committed to the well-being and maintenance of Austin’s natural springs–can be thanked for that. This organization, along with the always environmentally-protective group, the Sierra Club, helps to safeguard the “natural heritage” that Austinites have loved and enjoyed for decades.
