WIRETREE at The Ghost Room Next Friday!

Have you seen a show at The Ghost Room yet?? This place a sweet bar with that cool underground pub feel that doubles as a rad music venue. I was there last night for all-star local blog Ultra8201‘s 4th Anniversary Party to hear New Roman Times, The Authors, and Politics. The sound was great! It’s a nice set up with plenty of space for rockin’ out to the acts they book and mingling by the bar and pool table. If you missed the party last night, don’t worry, The Ghost Room has a must-see show lined up for next Friday (February 5) featuring Wiretree, King Risher, and Bluejay!

Austin’s own indie pop rock group Wiretree has mustered up a huge amount of local and national buzz. The band’s been featured on KUT’s Texas Music Matters with a very favorable revue of the “unassuming simplicity in their music” and newly released high-quality CD Luck. You can hear timeless influences of Dylan and Harrison mixed in with Wiretree’s instrumental pioneering. Check out the music video for Wiretree’s song “Days Gone By” –

Sharing the stage with Wiretree are Austin bands King Fisher and Bluejay. This bill has some serious variety! King Fisher will keep it real with its Southern Rock, earnest lyrics, and driven melodies. Bluejay’s front woman Cheryl Kaderli has got some serious pipes showcased in her edgy vocal lines. These three bands are full of some of Austin’s most talented musicians – you don’t want to miss this!

Be sure to check out the event listing on Do512 for more details on time and location. Click “I Like It!” on the event listing for a chance to win one of two pairs of FREE TICKETS and a FREE CD from EACH ARTIST! That is seriously such an awesome deal. See ya next Friday at The Ghost Room!
