America’s Got Talent AUDITIONS!

Reality shows this day and age seem to have not spared even a single channel on cable television, which for some, might be painful, yet for others, fills lives with the joy of watching “regular people” either do whatever inane feet placed before them or put themselves out their for the world to be their (ruthless) judge. Fortunately, I am part of the latter, so imagine my EXUBERANCE when I found out that “America’s Got Talent” is not only going to be on another season, but also that they are COMING TO AUSTIN to find talent!!!!

“America’s Got Talent” is hosting their 5th series next year, and they want to come to AUSTIN and surrounding areas to look for some of those “regular people” to showcase extraordinary talents. Currently holding the slot as THE biggest variety talent show in the nation, “America’s Got Talent” showcases a wide array of acts including singers, dance groups, ventriloquists, dancing dogs, contortionists, magicians, fire jugglers, you name it. With an average of 12 million viewers per episode (and even a whopping 20 million at its peak), this well-known variety show can surely take you from singing in your shower (which, yes, I do shamelessly) to big lights and beyond. I can’t honestly think of a better way to get finally get yourself out there on the big stage… AND ON TV!

The show will be holding auditions in Dallas, but, thankfully, the crew is making a swing through the ATX, holding auditions by INVITATION ONLY. So, the best way to get an invite is to send a video showcasing your amazing and incredible talent to NatashaAGT@gmail.com. And if you aren’t exactly familiar with the workings of the internet these days then:

– The preferable way is to either upload the video to a social network site (YouTube, Myspace, etc) and e-mail the link to the e-mail address above OR download the video to your computer and then e-mail the Video File (either in .mov, .mp4, or .avi file… windows media files are NOT preferable)

As for the format of the video:

– It should be a 90 second video of your BEST STUFF! If you only have Promo reel, that’s ok. However, tailored videos are preferred.

– Make sure you include a short intro of your name, age, where you’re from, and what your talent is

(If you don’t have a video or would like to discuss the show further please call Natasha Enshaei at (310)-445-8806 or (again) e-mail NatashaAGT@gmail.com)

So whether you come juggling magical balls of fire with your feet or bring along your talented twisting, back-flipping 6-year-old, this is one legitimate talent competition that just might make all those clichés about “making it big time” come true. Oh, and, by the way, the grand prize at then end of the whole competition? Just 1 million dollars. Looks like it’s about time for me to start flexing my pipes for a reprise of my junior high a capella solo. So, hurry and send in your video before the show rolls into town! HOPEFULLY SEE YOU ALL ON TV!

Is anyone here a Susan Boyle fan? I think she’s such an inspiration! have you all heard about how tv guide network is going to air her story exclusively? Are you guys going to watch the Susan Boyle special on TV Guide Network tomorrow night?

I was talking to some other Susan Boyle fans and they hadn’t heard about it so I wanted to make sure you guys knew! Make sure you tell your friends about it, because that’s the only place they’ll be able to see it in the US! I just read about it here: http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/U/US_TV_SUSAN_BOYLE?SITE=OHCIN&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT

I’m really loving the theme/design of your weblog. Do you ever run into any browser compatibility problems? A few of my blog readers have complained about my blog not working correctly in Explorer but looks great in Firefox. Do you have any ideas to help fix this issue?
